I was once a Pokemon trainer during the turn of the millennium, and played the Red and Gold games. I was a committed trainer, but I was also a bit unwise in my choice of pokemon. In fact, I was often referred to as Team Rocket by my friends because I've trained an Arbok, a Weezing, a Lickitung and a Victreebel - though not all simultaneously I don't think. God I hope not. I also trained a lot of bird pokemon, starting with a Pidgey. I even cross bred a Charizard with a Feraligatr! I never had a Vulpix though, since they were my pre-furry days, though you could say that the foundations had been laid.

I retired from training pokemon around the year 2002. I must have gone through a phase where I refused to battle full stop because I thought pokemon battling was like cock-fighting. But I was always up for a friendly contest if someone happened to have a copy of Pokemon Stadium. Heh.

In this alternate universe, today, out of of all the pokemon I raised, I think I only would have retained just the one. And that one would have been my Dodrio. He looks so badass, he's a proper hard nut in a battle and is also a very cool and fast means of transportation. That, and he can also SOMEHOW fly. I've seen the memes ^^. So yeah. He's mine. XD
