Hugh is the character I feel the least connection with - not because he's uninteresting, but because he's still hiding much of himself. Jaunt may have mysterious plans, but his personality really isn't complicated: it's clear how he likes to conduct his affairs. As for Jack, his encounter with Gnarly Nyarly (possibly my favourite scene so far) was greatly revealing. Hugh though...I'm wondering what depths* he has, and looking forward to finding out!

Understandable. Hugh's so guarded from the things that would cause him distress that a lot of his personality doesn't shine through. This chapter will be a little more telling about who he is - the comic is a vehicle to show change in all of it's main characters, "Villain" and "Hero" alike, so we should see growth in all of them. Or maybe the reverse of progress :)
