Oh. Now that it's actually mentioned, most traditional bows are made with thick ropes and are of one piece of wood. Most of the time the string is made from a type of rope made from dried mango shells, reeds, small vines and etc. that are braided together like what you do with hair. I sometimes make those to hunt and use a nail's tip to decorate some fine details into them and make them into arrow heads after.
It's really hard to carve out a good bow though and takes patience. Last one I made took me almost 2 weeks to finish and 3 hrs to braid the rope or string.
So just to inform, it's best to make a string with the same way you made the necklace rope to add more realism to it.

Oh, is that so? Thanks for the info! In fact, I don't know a thing about bows. I used a reference for this that I found in DA and looked pretty cool, but yeah, I'm aware it may not be very accurate D: I'll keep this in mind next time, tho!
And the string thing is that I tried to kinda paint just the little reflection of light, but I realise that it can look like the whole string. I had to finish this very quickly, I'm afraid DD: But hey, thanks for the comment, it was really helpful c:
