and just to clear that thing up about me being in love with you - i know people sometimes say that kind of thing as, like, ironic hyperbole or whatever so they can appear cool. but in my case i just have a lot of misplaced affection to deal with and i'm extremely tired. just so you know.

heheh well, i should specify then, that i think 'art' is representative, like, it has a grand meaning or metaphor behind it.
'illustration' can imply story but is otherwise literal, like, this is just a guy fishing at a river. though the story the illustration portrays could be 'art'.
of course that is just my opinion! :3

I love the feeling of your wanderer pieces. They're always graphically stunning, and they always give me this sense of nostalgia for my last trip. There's nothing quite like an abandoned place that nature is reclaiming. Entropy as an aesthetic is really close to my heart. I downright swoon for your wanderer series <3 <3 <3

I'm sure you will! I'm still surprised that why you need fishing license? I understand that you need permission, but still, I'm skeptical about land rights. If you're willing to fish, what are your targetted species? In CA, I occasionally go to Lake Tahoe and rarely Yosemite, and common species are rainbow trouts while brown trouts are yet still possible! Hopefully, you get decent break during spring or summer time!
Hehe, it took a while to see the dude! It's easy to get carried away with pretty textures when looking at pictures like these. (: It reminds me of old Chinese art where the artist focuses more on nature and only has a little far off human somewhere in the picture, instead of him/her being the focus. I think it's great that in pictures like these we get kinda put in our place and are reminded of how small we are compared to the world. :B

that's something i like about making images like this, i don't really think of stuff like that when i draw it. i just know 'i want to draw ruins and plants' so i do it, and maybe throw the wanderer in there, hah. but other people think of stuff like your post and some of the other posts above, i really dig that.
