I mean, it hurts like shit if you slam your chin down on a table edge, this has to be that but constantly.

the race and the feet have a symbiotic relation of sorts and people who had a sentient foot were trained to respect and care for their sentient feet so they wouldn't normally pull away while the foot was talking unless it was an emergency. don't get me wrong there are some who are rather rude but thats another story.

also the feet are rather durable, they have padding under the heels and chin to cushion the drop when walking or running, but if the host was... lets say jogging, then they need special footwear for that. footwear we might see sooner or later.

nope, just a normal foot. it's there not only as a comparison and show not all sentient feet come in pairs.
