This is the least creative critter, it's just your basic boat-pulling catfish the size of an orca. And I really should put a harness or something in there more logical. It's one of my favorites, though, because I can imagine how serene it would be in that little punt out on the lake and marshes on a beautiful day, gliding quietly past the tangled banks. I could use more serenity.

Back in the late 1970s, when I was going to Citrus College, the Natural Science Museum had a huge catfish on display in a 100 gallon tank, which the students had nicknamed "Gums." I kinda like this image too as it remids me of something fitting for a Chinese or Japanese legend. I like how the "Serenity" comes out in the piece.
catfish are really good fried whole; I had my share of catfish dinners in the midwest
I doubt the big guy is going to be on anyone's plate soon
This picture makes me happy, too; even though it features a Greek mythological beast, it would be cool to do a polished version in the style of old Chinese calligraphy art - there's a Asian feel to it
Serenity is a state of mind, I used to get it standing in the woods, now the woods are nothing but a memory. They are still in my head and I can go there but not without concentration and focus. I found an easy route to that is by using something to stand in for it. Such as, a small moss garden, simply examining it closely brings back memories and the mindset of being in the woods.
You should find what brings you serenity and find what can trigger it. It will be a fun and enlightening journey.
Also, the picture is pure magic! I love it!! :D

such a wonderfully peaceful scene. And no, given the right conditions I suppose it's not really that much of a stretch. I have been told that catfish don't really max out, but will continue to grow as long as they live, and i have seen catfish the size of sharks in aquariums myself.
