Another prompt story, somewhat based on true events. I really wish I could have gotten a recording of that voice. It still makes me laugh! Poor Milton.

Could it be any better? The prof, an easy observation of a hen-pecked (no pun intended) husband, bovines and a story so easily told that it's pure genius. Reminding sometime to hate you for doing that.
+faved.
(If I could fave it twice I would. But I can't. So I won't. So there. Be happy with just d'one, awright?)

lovely. the dragons of the air and the very earthbound bovines. such an interesting visual, so bizarre and yet it fits so well in this little fictive world here. Thank you for sharing and letting us watch as well.
also "the dragons are good at making you think it's self selected." An enviable talent in the hospitality biz and a wonderful observation :)

I like the hinting at the different anthros being possibly genetically created, or am I reading the "couple of generations above us" comment wrong? But elderly bovines... Heh. I've seen similar cranky people in public places and it can be really embarrassing just to be nearby as one shrews at the other. The visual impact of Asian dragons floating over the tables as they served folks their meals was a really neat image in my mind...
