This time, I will just talk about magic, and this won't rally be about balloons and inflatables.
I just wanted to write the background of what I wanted with my stories, and it was more difficult than I thought, beside the fact that I've got flooded and couldn't type and only write, I've had difficulties to work on this one.
I just want to say that I never read any "for dummies" book, and I haven't read ALL the book here, what I've wrote is only what Alberic have understanded.
Next time, we'll have some NSFW, but today, let's just have some boring explanations (I took some things from DnD, but not all...).
"Let's see"
I take the book, on its cover, on a yellow background was badly drawn a sloth lifting a finger and smiling, the title "Magic for dummies" was taking the top third part of the book, below were listed some stuff like "For teaching to your kids" or "Finally manage to make anything else than feelings with your hands", I opened it and start to read.
"DISCLAIMER: You must always remember that magic can be dangerous, of course for the other, but even for you, if you use too much magic, there is a risk that your soul absorb ambient magic, first the magic in the air inside of you (You'll feel like empty and cold), secondly in your skin (you'll feel like your body start to itch with no reason), and finally, it'll consume itself, leading to a painful death.
I) ALL YOU HAVE TO KNOW ABOUT MAGIC ITSELF
'Magic' is a term design by every actions due to magon. Magon is a stable particle found orbiting around the atoms' nucleus, there is generally one magon for each proton and each neutron, even with their best microscope, humans have been proved to be unable to seen Magon, but our scientists already did.
However, atoms can sometime make structures only linked by magons, the magons then aren't orbiting, and form what we call a 'soul'.
The only explanation we have found about humans incapacity to see anything magic is that their soul are only linked by the neutron's magon, while inflatables' souls are using all their magons.
(For the case of the human born with at least one of their parent imbued by an inflatable with magic, the baby seem to have an inflatable soul in a human body, but the protons' links start to decrease at the age of one year, and we have never seen it increase after that, even when one of the more powerful magician tried to give to a human a full feeling spell.
Souls use ambient magons to maintain themselves, and can be stimulated by electrons; so, if you need any magic boost, you have two choices: Renew the air inside of you, by making quick breaths for a small recovering, or by popping yourself for a full boost” (I think I'll tell to Caroline that I never read this part…) “or giving yourself an electrical boost, as it isn't recommended to use pure electricity, rub yourself to something else to fill yourself with static energy. (Be careful, doing this can provoke some unwanted feelings if you want to focus on a spell!)
You have to be careful to avoid frequent popping, as reforming use a part of the soul energy, popping too much can lead to the same symptoms that if you used too much magic, if your skin is itching, even from a magic overusing, don't try to pop yourself, and try to rather take quick breaths.” (This one, I'll tell it to Caroline, I could save myself sometimes…)
“It seem that magons became inert after some uses, but start to be reusable after some hour, certainly due to the electrons.
II)TYPES OF MAGICS
Nowadays, scientists have classified six types of magic: Illusion, enchantment, conjuration, transmutation, evocation and abjuration, these six types match with the six use we can make with Magon.
1)Illusion
The illusion is the magic made by using magons to comport as atom themselves, and take their place, if inflatables of the middle ages thought that the human incapability to see us was only due to illusion, modern scientists found out that enchantment was present too, the illusion can be use to hide or show something with any sense, masters are able to fool the five senses at the same time, and sometime to several humans.
Inflatable are most of the time unaffected by illusion, but it is possible for inflatable to turn on and off this invulnerability, if you want to try, focus on a part of your body, and think at how do you feel when you're in the fog, this part of your body will be like if it was a human part (without the fact that it have no flesh) and you can turn this back by making the same thing, but thinking of a bright light.
2)Enchantment
The enchantment is the magic made by using magons to change the atoms attribute, like this, any solid, liquid or gas can gain new properties or loosing some.
Enchantment have been used since immemorial times to make inflatables able to use heavy or hard stuff, the inflo-sapiens-sapiens were making clothes that were weighting nothing.
As nearly every inflatable can make something lighter, it is harder to change something else, every 'master' of enchantment is only able to change some properties, sometime linked.
If you're good with another magic, it's possible to use enchantment to give the effect of the magic to a catalyst, and use the spell later. (This is how you founds nearly all your product in your nearly shopping center)
3)Conjuration
The conjuration is the magic made by using magons to form structure between atoms, and by this way, creating usable things.
There is three conjuration spell that are known by every inflatable, the first is the reforming, if you don't have passive reforming and don't know how to reform a part of your body…. How are you still alive?
The second one is the feeling gift, that we use to influence humans, just put a part of your body against a human, and focus on a feeling, you should transmit it, the more you're in contact, the more you give, but clothes can retain a small part. (You unconsciously create physical molecules that are interpreted by the human's brain)
And the last one is the crafting of our money, it was created in the dark ages to make something solid with thin air, the airo was born (Ã), if you need some money, focus on a point near you and wait a little, the more you focus and the more you wait, the more you'll create money, if you don't spend enough time, there will only be a little depletion of your magic. (Your magic deplete in the whole casting, some inflatables are able to know exactly how much they're producing, but it's a skill you have to master by yourself)
Just remember that, except if you've treated them with enchantment, the stuffs you will be creating won't be visible by humans.
DISCLAIMER: Don't try to conjure a soul, it call for more energy than you could manage, and you will end up by destroying yourself, several conjuration experts tried, they died only making a tenth of a real soul, that disappeared in few seconds.
4)Transmutation
The transmutation is the magic made by using magons to change the atoms themselves, what is the difference with enchantment then you will ask? The enchantment can wear off with time and don't change something, but only what he can do.
Transmutation is certainly one of the most useful magic, if mastered correctly, it can replace most of the magic: Need to create something? Just take some water and transform it into what you need!
But it's the hardest form of magic, and the most tiring, it is advised to use transmutation only if you can't do it in another way, the only 'easy' transmutation possible is to transmute hydrogen into helium, but it's a lot of work for nothing.
5)Evocation
The evocation is the magic made by using magons to force atoms to move in a certain way, it's used to create anything that not physical.
As conjuration magic is durable, evocation only last a few seconds, minutes in the best cases, but what have been caused can last longer, it was the favorite type of magic during inflatable wars, but they have more peaceful uses, like psychokinesis used to make buildings, or making heat for flying uses, it's a little like enchantment, but in the ambient world.
Masters are able to create several evocations at the same time and can maintain them longer.
6)Abjuration
The abjuration is the magic made by using magons to repel itself or atoms, it can be used to repel magic, dispelling it, and even destroying materials.
It is a rather convenient but dangerous magic, the accidents due to abjuration are frequent, so train hard before using them, masters can easily disable all magic around themselves and some can make big stuffs disappear, the last one are called for demolition uses.
7)About the other 'types' of magic
Several inflatables tried to make other trust that they could master divination, this is a big joke that never have been funny, nobody can see the past or the future, neither where you have put your last helium canister, so, don't be gullible.
About necromancy, it's totally forbidden to try to resurrect someone, human or inflatable, not by ethic, but because everyone that have tried died in painful way. Destroyed souls cannot be retrieved, even with all the magic of the world, but some studies show that they didn't disappear, but seems like transported somewhere else, who know, maybe inflatable heaven exist?
III)Magical affinity
Each inflatable are more or less good with magic, and some are better with a type rather than with another, we still aren't sure of what make us better or not in some magic, but some inflatable think that it is due to the soul structure.
There is two way to see your magic potential: Trying to cast random spell (Which is totally irrelevant), or making a magic finder. To make one, you just need some products easily findable in human house. (Just remember to take only what you need, sometime, human are able to see if something is missing, yes, I'm talking to you, the sockets stealer!)
For this recipe, you'll need...”
“...And finally try some ketchup” I read out loud, I've been through the whole house to find some household product to make a strange mixture that look like the result you have when you're at school and you try yours first paint melange: an ugly brown.
“Now that you have mixed them, dip a part of your body in it and apply it on a white paper laid flat (like on a table)...”
I put a finger in the mixture, it's cold and gross, and apply it on the paper, thinking “conjuration look so good, I hope it's my magical affinity” and look at the result, a weird brown stain is in the middle of the paper, and nothing happen.
“Now, as the mixture have moved, you can see where your magic is the best, it'll go to the north if you are good in illusion, north-east for conjuration, south-east for enchantment, south for evocation, south-west for transmutation and north-west for abjuration.
I look back a the paper, the stain is still inert, I think it has moved a little, but not enough to see anything.
“Wait… I'm so bad at magic that I can't even do a magic test?”
I look at the mixture, it's exactly the color described, and I look at my hand, get confused at the sight of my finger tainted with brown, and suddenly realize what's wrong.
“I'm really stupid...” I put my hand on my face, tainting it with the mixture left on my finger. “Humans can't use magic, I should try as an inflatable...”
I transform and put my paw in the mixture, this time, I feel some kind of energy coming where I touched it, I then took another paper, and put my paw on the paper.
The mixture instantly reacted, half of it got on the left of the paper, like if they were fleeing my paw, the rest spread a little in every directions, a little more in the left bottom part, and a little less in all the top part of the paper.
“Well, that's more like it, now, let's see with a compass...”
I look at the compass, the peak of magic is heading to the south.
“So, that's mean…. I'm good in evocation? What was that already… Short energy bursts like psychokinesis or energy waves? Well, that make sense, I'm a mew after all…. Wait, does that mean I can use pokemons moves? I'll have to try this later…
Next, the rest of the finder goes to… the south-east… Enchantment? Well, at least, I can think of some use with this, and the finder have avoided… all the west… so, I'll be bad at abjuration and transmutation... They looked like the more powerful magics, but I'll have to do without them..”
I'm a little disappointed, it really wasn't what I was expecting, but after all, I think that I can use magic, which is a good thing itself.
“So, what's next… wait, this is a tutorial or a full magic spell book?” I wonder as I see that what I have read was only a tenth of the book, and the rest was composed only of a list of spells and how you have to do them, I look mindlessly at them and put the book back on my bed, I don't want to read them without trying, and I'm not in the mood for that, I clean the plate where I prepared the magic finder and throw the two papers, then go back to my laptop, knowing what Caroline have prepared for me, I really need some relaxation...
I just wanted to write the background of what I wanted with my stories, and it was more difficult than I thought, beside the fact that I've got flooded and couldn't type and only write, I've had difficulties to work on this one.

Ah, interesting. So illusion is selfexplanetors to me. Making stuff visible that isn't actually there or disguising things. Enchanting is about giving things special attributes (I think with me lil Dile Shiny it happened that some friendly fellas enchanted a lot of his belongings over time,; f.e. his headphones and mp3 wristband are water resistant).
Conjuring and evocation are much alike. Make things appear. Though why making money appear? Would that not basically make the money worth nothing?
Transmutation aka transformation, also easy to understand.
Abjuration does sound like putting physical force out through magic, in whatever form one uses it.
Okay, the joke with the disappearance of socks was funny. X3
Ah, so what things do you use your magic for mostly then, Sky? =3

1 For conjuring, money is hard to create for most of squeakies, and take a long time, so, it's more worth to create something worthing money with magic rather than money (like an enchantement that make squeakies thicker) but some squeaks are good at creating money, so they can trade it easily (money isn't really as our money, squeaky world works more on trade)
And.. I may use my magic often for psychic, and flamethrower/dragon puffs XD

Like I told, squeakies can be strong in some kind of magic, Sky is good at evocation and a little bit for enchantement, so he could use pokemon moves (that won't last) and give properties of these moves to item, or make the item use the move.
But if Sky need to decast one spell, create an item to enchant etc, he couldn't or it would be really hard, tiring, long, and maybe dangerous for him, so he would rather use money to buy it!
(And sky is bad at creating balloons, but he have litterally tons of them in his house thanks to this money XD)

I just didn't understand the concept much. I mean, even if they are invisible and all, does that mean they completely can ignore all the Human stuff going on at the same tme? I'd find it very confusing at least. I mean, they can't do such things during night time because all doors are closed and such. ^^'
Ah, I see. So they are probably at places where no Human went to before for example.Like...Who knows if they aren't living on invisible houses above the ocean that regular ships just pass through or maybe they just live in the clouds if some are influencing the weather already.
