Lets just get this out in the open now.
I AM A HUGE STARDEW VALLEY ADDICT. :|
I have been playing for two weeks, and I'm already in year 4. I have sacrificed nearly 100 hours of my life to this game and I have no intention of stopping anytime soon. I am rarely seen or heard from these days. Stardew Valley is LIFE.
My farm name is Junimo Haven, wanted to tie in a bit of the game's nature lore and Junimos are adorable, though they kinda look like apples. lol
Let me just say, I have really fallen in love with this little village and it's characters. I've done my absolute best to fix their town and make them happy, and when I met *one* in particular, I decided right away he had to come home with me.
So, if you don't play this game, you'll be lost from here on out, BUT for those who like me who have made the plunge and never look back, you'll totally understand where I come from.
Sebastian is my chosen hubby, and despite being ridiculously busy with farm chores I always make time to talk to him and spoil him with gifts, any of the five items he loves best. If I could gift him multiple times daily, I would. I own a Void Chicken just to make eggs for him, and when he mentioned raising slimes I went right out and got us a Slime Hutch, even though I am in no way prepared to use it yet. Whatever Seb wants, Seb gets.
When I was studying the Wiki (before I started playing) I read the profiles of all ten available marriage candidates, and his immediately stuck out for me. He is a huge introvert (something I can definitely relate to), and feels misunderstood and underappreciated by his family. I have a soft spot for the broken ones, so I knew right away he was gonna be the one I went for, and I can honestly say he hasn't disappointed. He comes off as a bit emo in the beginning (and I know, the hairstyle and black clothes don't do a lot to dissuade this assesment), and even after you marry him he doesn't necessarily leave his little cloud of gloom all the time, but he often mentions how happy he is on the farm and he turns out to be rather sweet when he wants to be. Plus, he makes me coffee sometimes, so that's a plus. lol
Fun side note: The nautilus shell I have her wearing here is actually a gift from Seb on my first Feast of the Winter Star gift exchange. It may just be something he grabbed off the beach at the last minute but I keep it in one of my chests and I treasure it. <3
Anyway, just wanted to draw something based on my adventures in the game. There is very likely going to be more of this kind of stuff, as I do find it quite inspiring. And yes, I am aware there is a Furry mod for the game, but right now I'm having fun just playing it as-is. The character portraits and sprites have grown on me so I doubt I'll be changing them.

I just got into Flight Rising (dragon breeding/battle sim) last week and I'm addicted. Still playing Klondike (farm/adventure sim) on Facebook. And HeartStone.. I used to be horribly HORRIBLY addicted to Harvest Moon and this looks a lot like Harvest Moon and aaaah. What have you done? *cry*
I'm going to have to check it out.

lol I had to exercise a LOT of restraint the first week I knew about this game. I held off buying it until the following Friday because I KNEW if I had it sitting on my desktop, I'd be tempted to play and I wouldn't get any work done. I ended up watching a ton of Lets Plays and studying the Wiki just to prepare, kinda curbed the cravings a bit. >u< Plus when I did finally start, I wasn't diving in blind, I already knew a bunch of tricks. :D
I have yet to really choose a wife. Stuck very much between Penny and Leah since they both have traits that remind me of my real mate (Penny is caring and responsible, while Leah is independent and driven). Had a meteor land in my farm VERY early on that kinda screwed up my planned layout, but I've adapted pretty well. :)
STARDEW VALLEY
I don't play it (my hubby does) but goodness it is such a sweet game. The music and everything is lovely, and all those changing seasons and colours <3
Luthien in pigtails is so adorable! It gives it a sweet look that is just as lovely as her usual free-flowing style. That look of mingled weariness and dedication is really sweet too <3
