Age: 7,250
Likes: Spring time, immature humor, exploring the subconsciousness of mortals, a hot cup of black coffee
Dislikes: Violence, sticks in the mud(Dr. Tachibana being a begrudging exception),
Personality traits: Gentle, humble, laid-back, compassionate, patient, light-hearted
Bio: Born the son of the two supreme nature deities based in the land of Dustan, Hri and Siver, this ultra-powerful intermediate god inherited great power and prestige among the realm of gods. Because of his divine birth-right, this god developed a swollen sense of pride and hubris - looking down upon mortals and gods alike; but he remained cordial and loving towards the ones he befriended and cared about(namely a smattering of friends and family members), being noted to be excellent at listening and offering advice. The god was beloved among his brothers, sisters, and friends - who admired him for his patience, seemingly saintly disposition, and love of jokes; For those he cared about, he provided serene, comforting company as well as lightening of life with his myriad of punchlines and quips. His parents however, though they loved him dearly and could see his positive qualities quite clearly, did not turn a blind eye to all the times he sneered or turned his nose up at the gods of other domains - scolding and lecturing him on the dangers of arrogance...but he rebelled, and continued to see himself as superior to many.
Eventually however, the nature god's arrogance would lead him to headline an assault against the domain of Santa Mueria, a lesser goddess of death - believing that the power of death would be handled better by the forces of nature, seeing the domain of death as morbid, macabre, and much less merciful. Because of his pull with others in the domain of nature, he quite easily amassed a small army at his command. His parents however, greatly respected Santa Mueria, and caught wind of the supernal deer's act of war, and stopped him and his forces before they could even begin their assault - detaining him before stripping him of his power and exiling him to the realm of mortals.
For 108 years, he was forced to live a life as a mere mortal - subject to the same toils and trials experienced by them including aging; he had to watch as his beautiful, godly form decayed and withered alongside the other mortals. He had no choice but to come to terms with the hardships that were once foreign to him such as exhaustion, loss, and death - at first, he had no idea how mortals managed to put up with such struggles in their short, limited life-spans, which served to teach him how strong they actually were. It was during this time that this deer, though crushed by the loss of his divine birthright, found friends and sympathy among the mortals he once looked down upon, forging life-long friendships with people who he once saw as weak, frail, and petty.
For a time, he made a living as an artisan - marrying a fellow peasant while fathering 3 children he doted upon dearly. The deer lived a long and fulfilling life as a humble, diligent worker in the mortal realm. Sadly however, the deer's wife would die of disease late into their lives, robbing him of much of his ability to enjoy life, but also further reminded him of the value of life in the face of a finite existence. Soon his children would also leave him, having come of age and destined to lead lives of their own. By the time he had reached his own death bed, the deer had learned a great deal more than he had in his previous 500 years as a god - and he was ready to let his life fade into the ether alongside the mortals he had learned to call his own...but to his surprise he awoke back in the realm of gods, having been welcomed back by his parents, who were now proud of him for truly learning the value of both life and death. He was restored to his youthful visage, his powers having been returned to him in full - ready to serve a god who now truly walked the path of the righteous.
In the present, he has chosen to take up a simple profession as a humble psychiatrist among mortals - adopting the mortal name, Mahesh Bachchan, to represent his ingratiation in the culture and reality of mortals. Mahesh's most commonly seen form(as pictured) is actually a suppressed visage of his true form, as he wishes not to lord over mortals as a despot - merely desiring to act as a guide, teacher, and companion to those who walk into his office. The doctor acts as the second head of leadership in Vita Hospital alongside Dr. Hikaru Tachibana, a close friend and ally who shares a grand, overarching goal with him: to guide mortals into the realm of godhood.
