Magic Lessons!

Sugar Swirl does not have a very ... GOOD ... grasp on magic. His own magical ability is about on par with a 5 year old’s, but he’s never let that get to him before.

Even when his parents sent him to his aunt for private education, he’s never felt like it was a bad thing. He never had need to feel jealous of others since none of his peers were unicorns. Suddenly surrounded by others his age... others of his kind? Well, his stance on “magic isn’t really that awesome” was quick to wane away.

His auntie Twilight does have set lesson days for Sugar. But that doesn’t stop him from taking on extra work and overtaxing himself in the library. So far, nothing’s been happening but sparks around his horn.
His cousin was quick to encourage him when Lucent found him in the library struggling to levitate an apple. With Lucent playing as his cheerleader, Sugar’s made progress! Now the apple sparkles too! ...It’s a start.
