Now for a little back story.

One day in the DSP(DNA Splicing Project) labs, there was an accident, not a bad accident, a rather good one actually.
Two ONI scientists were working with fertilile egg cells(I don't know what their called lol) they were all going to be foxes but it seemed like fate had other plans. On a shelf above where the scientists were working, had three vials on it, the shelf suddenly gave out causing the three vials the fall and shatter spilling their contents right in to the Petri Dish that the scientists had been using, the two scientists freaked out, and quickly put the dish into the egg bank. Little did the scientists know that the Petri Dish was put on a rack that was scheduled for distribution to the artificial insimmation lab for mothers to raise the UNSC's next wave of Splicers. One of the mothers was shocked when she gave birth to the most amazing Spicers she's ever mothered, a hybrid.

I hope you enjoyed my idea of the science of how anthros would exist is the Halo universe. Also to tell you how Cal came to be.
