Wow even with the detail there's a certain simplicity with this picture... just like the simplicity of the moment: the characters simply enjoying the moment in the warm weather with each other's company. <3
Even the way you drew the trees have some sort of happy calm personality, those static things looks so alive. I notice especially one has roots where there is a bend and you added circles which is like someone's knee... hehehe it adds more to the personality I think. xD
Also the way how everything is round, like the leaves which are generally pointy and how the flower petals are even rounder than life... the lack of so many pointies make this image even that much more inviting.
Even the colours are not so excited but also not bland but in the middle, like the sun is starting to set so they are not scorching in the heat but are winding down.like everything is winding down, the characters, the flowers, the trees....
