Not really though, I can work from home. This just means I have a lot of digging to do. :(

I have to buy new shoes that don't let the melted water through.
I don't know about under what law and circumstance, but some times they close the roads for vehicles without chains, until the road is cleared.
Last winter they closed it down for all vehicles, because a truck had turned over and blocked the road for too many hours. without moving cars to keep the snow low it piled up and sealed-off everything. I took the train the next morning, but it got stuck in a snow-drift for a while. then it broke on some raised patch of asphalt...
So, NO! Snow is not MY friend.

HOLY K RAPPERs batman! That is a LOT of dang snow.. Reminds me of living in Buffalo New york. we got LOTS of snow there! That'd be fun with a snow mobile! THough digging out of that can be a major pain in the chest. :) How often do you get snow like that where you are? just a couple of times a year? or .. MANY times a year? I used to love playing in the snow, now it's just an obstacle for me to get to work.
Good grief!!! That is not Snow Day, that is ICE AGE DAY!!!
I can barely see out the door!!
And here I was feeling impressed when we got snow over here in Sweden that reached up over my ankles and lasted for four days. Now I just feel....pitiful.
This is the kind of frightens midgets and eats overly-curious cats.
Cats just take one leap of faith out the door and [FLOOMP]!!
"Dada, where did the cat go?"
"It done got eaten by the snow Darlin'. Winter will do that sometimes."
Sorry, just had to get that thought out of my head.

If it makes you feel any better, it only takes about 4"/10cm to throw southern California into chaos. About a week before Christmas we had an unusually cold storm drop ~8-12" down to 1000ft. It crippled our highway system and severely impeded the secondary roads. Actually, the snow wasn't the problem; it was the abundance of clueless morons that didn't know how to drive in it and got their 4x4s stuck that were the problem.
"The driving, I know, was bad. What, with eight feet of snow, and all."
