Flapjack is a sixteen year old unicorn colt who was orphaned during the changeling invasion of Canterlot three years previously, and had no relatives so he ended up in the Royal Canterlot Orphanage. Because of his age, he was not adopted until Frothy Brew and Cherry Delight took him in. While he still needs to go to school, after hours and on Saturdays, he is an enthusiastic apprentice in the family business - the True Brew Café.
