What a wonderfully perfect hybrid of Seviper and Haunter (Sevaunter) by
CandyKittycat. Oh my god! I lovelovelove how the designs work together! Giving a snake the disembodied hands of Haunter? How extraordinarily perfect! I am so happy with it
Name: Serina, the Playful
I am the who when you call, "Who's there?"
I am the wind blowing through your hair.
-- The Nightmare Before Christmas
The curious Seviper found her way into the large building that people had been moving in and out of at a rapid pace. Though she was young, she had learned to understand some of the chatter that those... they called themself humans... used to communicate. (Why they didn't simply say, "humanhum--hum-manmanman" puzzled her.) Some odd phrases were being thrown around, and she could only pick up a few of those words.
"**** rocket, ***** **** help *****'* * ghost"
"*****, you **** **** the tower"
"Not ***, we **** *** ***** scope"
"**** Rocket, retreat!"
She fancied herself an adventurous young Seviper! Surely she would be able to conquer this tower. After all, her venomous fangs were so fearsome that nobody would play with her. No others would stand in her way. The Seviper fearlessly entered the tower and began slithering along the tombstones alone.
Until a certain Haunter took interest in the very alive snake. This particular Haunter had not seen such a fine target in awhile. The Seviper was very young--probably only level 10 or so--and would therefore would have plenty of life to lick away~ Ah, what a wonderful wonderful opportunity! So the Haunter trailed behind, waiting for her opportunity.
As the Seviper traveled up the tower, more and more ghosts took notice of her. Haunter, however, maintained territory of the snake, fending off other would-be pursuers. The best time to attack would be deep in the tower, away from the other ghost types haunting the area. Seviper traveled onward, unphased by the sounds and whispers that surrounded her.
At the end of the floor before the stairs, a large gaseous being being blocked the entrance. Though Haunter was a highly skilled ghost-type, she knew that the being up ahead. That was a a truly restless spirit. Why must her prey so foolishly approach the obviously looming death trap! That ghost wouldn't even make use of her life!
Seviper approached the phantom with great confidence. She'd no problem with the other ghosts as they all fled before her.
The one boney swipe it took to knock the Seviper nearly unconscious destroyed most of her bones. Seviper shrieked in her paralysis.
Before the ghost was able to approach, Haunter whisked away the wounded Seviper for whatever remaining life force there was. Surely enough would still exist in this youth!
Seviper, suffering from shock, saw the Haunter who had taken her away. Tearfully, she managed to tearfully utter, "Thank... you..." before she passed away.
Baffled by the words, Haunter tried desperately to resuscitate Seviper. There was naught but a mangled corpse. Haunter caught the exiting soul. It was young and uncorrupted. It was scarred, but resolved. It was horrified, but thankful. In a moment of great determination, Haunter took the soul and corpse and transported them both far from the Tower. Far from the land.
A new life sprung to being in a forest near a lake. The being knew not a name, a purpose, or a reason. As it stood up, it noticed its tail. That seemed reasonable. It saw trees. That seemed reasonable. It moved toward the tree. That seemed reasonable. It tried to wrap around the tree. That seemed reasonable. Then she passed through it.
That... wasn't reasonable.
Then she noticed her hands, her face... Her phantom-like state... Her enlarged chest?!
It didn't seem right. But it was just the way things were. Across the lake were a few unicorns, talking amongst themselves. Only one word made it to the being's ears as they talked about the lake.
"Serene"
So the being took up this name as she traveled the lands. Though most avoided her for being a poisonous phantasm... Serina never felt truly alone.
Character quirks:
* Close close friends with Maldey
* Extremely playful as a creature.
* Whimsical in nature, but general disliked by others due to poison and ghost properties
* Doesn't recall being Seviper or Haunter or Pokemon in general.
* Feels comfortable without hands because of her Seviper background.
* Unlimited hand detachment range. Can easily bring back to herself, but difficult to bring them to a specific location without exact sight.
* Sadly, the Haunter part of her cannot evolve.
* Gonna be honest and say that I have no proper explanation for the snaketits, but they're wonderful

Her core personality is that of the Seviper. Her natural instinct is to undulate her body to move at least in the beginning. As she grew older and more accustomed to what she is, she'd learn to fly through the air more freely like Ghastly would (Tail trailing behind her).
The Haunter aspect of her is more latent, like a subconscious personality that affects her. Neither have memories of their past, but have vague feelings and recollections of what they once were.
