The Pulse in Orlando was terrorized by a man who pledged allegiance to Al Quada. And ISIS claimed the attack. Before he was killed by the Authorities, he killed 50 people at the Pulse (who was celebrating Latin Night). 53 + more were hospitalized. This was the largest mass killing in US History!

My heart is heavy and I am grieving. I knew no one there, but I knew everyone there, too. I have fought for our rights and I'll be damned if I hear of one fundamentalist "christian", one GLBTQ hater, one anti-gay poliitician, one anit-GLBTQ ANYONE post or tell me it was GOD'S WILL or that WE DESERVED THAT BECAUSE OF OBAMA OR SCOTUS PASSING GAY MARRIAGE!!

We have fought the good fight and have earned our scars. I have waited to marry the one I love. I know that we have a long way to go still because we now have to fight ignorant people who choose to quote Old Testament Scripture that has nothing to do with gay people. Instead of embracing the God of Love, Peace and Hope of the New Testament they choose a vengeful god of the Old testament.

And churches wonder why young people aren't flocking to them. Maybe it has something to do with tolerance, lack of love, and narrow-minded rigid structure??
