It's taken me a fair amount of time to be able to fully process what happened in Florida this weekend. 49 people were murdered because of who they loved. This is the largest mass shooting in recent US history, and it was a hate crime against people who just want to be allowed to love. Too often we have to hear about death in our own damn country and nothing happens. I'm tired of this being allowed to happen, and I am incredibly heartbroken for the 49 brothers, sisters, and others who were lost that morning.
