If Protoss were ever a brand of motorcycle, that would be it! Haha.
There must be some unconscious aesthetic about a one-man vehicle engulfed by an atmospheric landscape (Romanticism perhaps?). Something about it is really profound, but also exhibits the ability to illustrate several elements of good composition in one image. Probably just a common storyboard element in a lot of iconic sci-fi, but nevertheless it's great.

Agreed...especially if it's a hoverbike. ;) Man has, since ancient times, had an instinctive wanderlust, a yearning to explore all we can see, then discover what lies beyond the horizon. To have the ability and freedom to go wherever and whenever you want, unencumbered by other people's needs/limitations/goals/timetables...it would be irresistible. If it weren't for food, fuel, family and fatigue, I wonder if we would ever have settled at all. Perhaps we all would still be nomads, looking for that one thing worth stopping for...but finding only reasons to keep going....
