Terín's been featured here a few times, but I haven't put up a picture of her husband Efran yet. He's not affiliated with her church except for being married to a priestess; Efran is an engineer who works with the giant clockwork analytical engines that exist in a select few places in Delyria. He fences on the side; his skinny build and quick reflexes make him a dangerous opponent on the strip, and he's defended himself and Terín from bandits out on the highway several times.

Efran is also completely deaf - bullies shoved him into the machine room of one of these engines when he was a student and then activated the machine while he was still in there. Ordinarily, these rooms are thickly soundproofed and no one is allowed inside while the machine is in operation because they're literally deafeningly loud. The culprits were caught and expelled, but the damage was done, and Efran's spent the last ten years of his life totally unable to hear. He's a quick study, though, and he and Terín communicate using sign language.
