"It appears that my motion-trigger camera worked, although, perhaps a bit too well. While it appears I most certainly have a photo of something large and canine, it is hard to distinguish it from any old stray when it's this darn close to the camera! I'm lucky it's still in focus."

"There was a lot of disturbance in the brush in the area, but alas, it was too dry for footprints. I'll have to keep searching for more evidence. After my excursion to visit a friend, I will have to start checking the riverbeds and creeks."
