The first time I heard of a "Bag of Holding" was from the DOS game "Heretic".

The first time for me was in a game called castle of the winds

There is that constitution glitch that you can use... all you need to do is use a spell while out of mana like magic bolt until you go negative in HP.. after, sleep till mana is restored.. then use a heal spell over and over again... Pretty soon, you will have over 9,000 HP. Then just goto the temple to restore your constitution and then you are golden!! Go tank melee all you like, you semi-immortal god killer you!

I always ran a buff dude with nearly no mana powers. I rested a lot but didn't really need to worry about mana much since the only thing I'd cast most often was light.

Mmm, abandoned commercial games that act all funny if you run them on 64 bit OS's. Thankfully they still run in windows 3.11 through DOSBox. I'm sure there are other ways to get it to continue to work today as well, PCem being an up and comer.

Win7 pro comes with an XP mode virtual pc that works flawlessly.

Funny, I never found it when looking around on my old Win 7 Pro install. It'd work beautifully as long as the XP mode was a 32 bit OS (and nearly every virtualization of it was)...

If you go into the properties of an EXE there's a compatibility tab where you can select a version of windows to emulate. I believe you can also right click and "run in compatibility mode"

It's a 16 bit executable. I'm using a 64 bit OS which does not have a 16 bit emulation layer. Hence, the need to run some sort of other emulation mode and run it in there. DOSBox booting into Windows 3.11 worked wonders though.

My idea for magical solutions to diaper problems is the Prestidigitation spell. I'm not sure about the 3.5 or other versions, but in Pathfinder it's a cantrip that can be cast as many times a day as you want, and one of its abilities is "clean or soil items in a 1-foot cube each round" which means instead of ever changing a diaper, you just magic the mess away!

Moreover, with custom magic item creation, I calculated that making this effect continuous would cost 1000gp, meaning wealthy retired adventurer parents, or merchants or nobles, would be able to get magic diapers for their babies they would never have to change, because they would continuously vanish away all the messes! (In Pathfinder, magic item creation doesn't cost XP, so it's a sustainable industry.)

the only issue I have with this is the bag of holding sucks whatever is put into it into it's own alternate pocket of reality, with no air or anything. That girl would have died in minutes.

ok while this makes me laugh i also can't help my DM brain from kicking in. if they cut the bag to fit like a diaper it wouldn't work anymore and it would all just come flying out O.o...i dunno which is worse the loss of the bag or the contents being thrown out

What if they had it custom made to have the leg holes, and it was more like a pull on diaper or a diaper cover?

then it would work but just cutting the bag destroys the spell and all contents are ejected XD the danger of a bag of holding
