warren & his works on here FA, particularly his War of the Wands matches (NOTE: You have to be over 15 to view them from certain points; Mature Content).
Recently, it sometimes seems whenever I offer moral support to a contestant I like, that's the one that seems to loose — never mind giving moral support or even the occasional history date. Many's the time history has repeated itself to me with these matches, particularly the recent match between Callie the Sheep and Keilana the Lioness (a total fiasco in my books) I feel I was robbed the most. And I for one am heartily sick that whatever I do rarely helps the competitors I wish to win.
But I guess this brings to mind the words of BBC Strictly Come Dancing Judge, Len Goodman, when debates were made at the Blackpool Dance-Off in 2015. And recently, with the views my mum has during most of the Dance-Offs about who stays and who goes, I suddenly feel that WotW is no different at all to Strictly Come...
Guess it's the decision of the Judges, this case it being
warren — even though Callie was a little bit better. Doesn't make me right and them wrong. Now I'm passionate about WotW, maybe not so strongly on judging or marks, but then that's just me.
It's at times when you look back at the former rounds and think; (reference) "I could have let Beatrix the Rabbit win this". Guess Warren doesn't have loads of time to react or think between closing the voting and uploading the next image — especially since he said he doesn't do two different resulting images, so he's ready if either one should win (plus it's only an hour between the penultimate image and the winner's image goes up). It is an instant thing - a gut feeling (which is what I get from here — though at the rate I'm going, I ought to be having stomach ache be'now).
You're going to get different opinions, but it doesn't make Warren right all the time in these matches, since viewers debate and argue, because it's all through the eyes of experience and viewers. It's the same with LEGO's Legends of Chima and the whole Laval-Eris-Li'Ella triangle and who deserves to be shipped with whom, I.e. G'LoonaxWonald, Lavertus&Crunket and (most importantly) LavalxEris.
I know Warren's trying to provide entertainment (in this case, a strip-tease-catfight and with a difference), but being British, I like fair play, and many's the time I feel that this was anything but – the only exception with the lioness (wig), the dragoness (concealed armour) and the unicorn (impostor) all cheated or faked their way to victory, only to wind up flat on their faces in disgrace! (Since then I've never trusted them, and neither have I much liked some of the competitors of the Round 2 Matches, such as Olive the Chameleon & Margana the Magpie)
I know that this is never scripted - viewers say what they see and give a choice of move/give a score. I know Warren will choose so-and-so to go into the next round, but they will be followers & viewers who will say; (reference) "No, he should have let Nelvania the Doe win!" Most might even believe that it is rigged to go one way only as viewers come to see what's next only to find they've missed their chance to vote in the final image before the victory one, which is often my case since I don't wake up until 8am UK time, and by then it's too late as
warren must post these up around midnight and such...
We've all got opinions - it's all about taste. It doesn't always make us right or wrong. That is what WotW is all about, same as Strictly Come Dancing. The contestant we support might not always have the best moves or the highest score, but sometimes it's the popularity that pulls them through to the next round.
Sure this match, and like many before, were close and I totally respect
warren for his opinion, and I hope he respects me for mine.
And that is all I have to say.
ARTIST'S NOTES:
1. The Image of Len Goodman was added to prove a point on the similarities between the two, plus I was quoting him.
2. This is the second motivator I had to edit on Photoshop as the original image banner was too small to adjust properly on the motivator's site as it was enlarged too much to fit the whole one in...
