I've been a wreck of up and down emotions. One of my coworkers is in the hospital, another lost a dear friend. The outpouring of support and help has been incredible, though.

Religion

This may be an opinion (and I'm sure the previous posters is too) but religion is absolutely pointless.
You can say "don't blame religion" all you want but it's caused quite a few conflicts (some of which killed hundreds of thousands and made a countless amount suffer).
Don't get me wrong, religion CAN be good. But you don't need some "god" to tell you what is right of wrong. Common sense does that just fine.

The world would be a better place without religion. You know it and I know it.

Bub this was a religious nutcase who RELIGIONS said that gays are an abomination it doesn't matter where you're from cause that doesn't reflect the rest of the world. What you're say is basically "if a killer kills another killer is he himself a killer". Religion has caused was to many problems in the world ever hear of the crusades. Thousands of people died because of religion. Why would any God say it is okay to kill certain people for being different, own slaves, and treat women like third class citizens. If you can name one modern day religion that isn't Budism, that doesn't have these anywhere in their texts I'll shut up.

You aren't getting it. This guy was a religious extremist. His religion said that gays should not have life. I don't give a fuck if people want to pray or whatever. I give a fuck when those people go on "crusades" for their religion and kill dozens of innocent people because their RELIGIONS said so.

What that man did had NOTHING to do with the religion he believed in. He was a hateful man that murdered those gay people because he HATED us. He didn't do it for his religion, he did it for himself.
