God of War holds a special place in my heart. It's one of the games that I grew up with and got me into gaming. I highly advise you check it out if you haven't already! But it's very brutal, thats why I like it so much.

Quick rundown; Kratos is the son of Zeus, Zeus betrayed Kratos and so did the rest of the Gods. Kratos now wants revenge and is out to kill all of the Greek Gods.
