Amazing picture! I hope she is not a fallen angel in chains of darkness, that is biblical for demons, and that would make the male guy Satan, who comes to kill, steal, and destroy... I could imagine the upper guy as God and the angel being comforted by God, or better yet, a human being comforted by a ministering angel. The chains could be the sorrow of life and reality. Anyway, it is a powerful piece.

The symbolism has more to do with personal demons than Biblical ones (the winged vulpine is Chiima, and Couch is her boyfriend...which is the guy standing over her =).

not really lol. I'm not a religious person : ) I love the idea of angels (in a non-biblical sense) which was the original reason for my sona having wings. The black colour due to a long time of sorrow in my past <3 I suppose you could use the wording "fallen angel" but again, not in a religious sense : )

the meaning of this picture is essentially just a representation of how my mate saves me from myself every day basically. He is my strength and my protector.

Essentially, it's a piece for my mate to show him what he means to me : )

I agree. Although I'm not a very religious person, I do find the mythos of Christianity to be fascinating. Angels and Demons and whatnot. (I hope no one finds the comment offensive. I respect all religions).
