The star opened the pit of the abyss, and smoke rose out of it like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke from the pit.

the Dog Head fire in the Manzano mountains. almost certainly human caused. first day it was 70 acres, next day 700, today 2000....there are smoke jumpers and tanker aircraft hitting it hard though.
