God I remember these two, but I can't recall where from XP

They appeared as shorts in various DePatie-Freleng (as in Friz Freleng) theatrical shorts, which subsequently got syndicated on television. They were shown along with DePatie-Freleng's much better known creation, the animated Pink Panther.

They were so much fun mostly to watch Termite Terrace (the creators of Looney Tunes) golden oldies one more time. The characters were different, but the gags, they were all tried, tested, and true.

I loved his Jackie Mason accent. xD I didn't realize that's who inspired it until I got a bit older and re-watched The Jerk. Then it all clicked, lol. Well, that and History of the World, Part 1.

Wow I have not seen much with them in a VERY long time. Have to pull out the Pink Panther DVDs and have a watch!

John Byner did a heck of a Jackie Mason impression, perfect for the sad-sack Aardvark, even if I kept expecting him to say, "That ant is absolutely meshugah!"

What I didn't know is that he also voiced Charlie the Ant, doing a quite recognizable Dean Martin. Every bit as smarmy as the original, too.

I was completely shocked when I found out that the aardvark was a male in the original.

In the german sync, with which I grew up, it was actually an anteater and a female with a very polite and somehow regal-sounding voice. I thought it was pretty original.

She also had a name - Elise. You really wanted her to win.

Aardvark was frankly the more interesting of the two!
