This began as a sketch that I did independently, that was close to heart but didn't have a home. And so it sat unfinished until Fox Amoore approached me about doing the artwork for his song "Let's Fly" which is one of my absolute favorites from his "Come Find Me" album. I was elated and accepted, and got to meet the commissioner Omega. I learned about his character, about the meaning behind the words, but something kept drawing my heart back to this sketch. The words fit it SO well in a way neither he or I had thought of before. Plain statements became metaphors for hatching, new life and first flight. But also, the "birth" of a dear character from the mind of his creator.
And so here it is, completed and born!

Shy away from grander things and shutter every world
Graceful flight from perch to swing, a stone for every pearl
If I could quell my aching
These stolen breaths are taking
And find myself again
From this vantage, winding on
Through valleys and the pass
Rivers treading deeply through
Their reach exceeds my grasp
From out upon my perching
I felt my self escaping
Out into the world I've left alone
Until the moment comes
When I felt like I could stand on my own
Mending straightened wings, threadbare and sewn
To my heart these strings did pull
Away from the weary throne
Glowing embers keep this fire
An ever-lasting lamp
Feather-white, come morning light
The grass left cold and damp
And leaving all temptation, beneath my winged elation
Out into the world I've left alone
And now the morning comes
When I felt like I could stand on my own

This is going directly above my bed. This picture will forever have a special place in my heart and it's been an absolute pleasure to work with you, to tease you and bribe you with apples... but mainly to see this evolve from your sketch which nearly brought me to tears and a lump to my throat.

Oh Omega, it was such a joy to work with you! Your endless enthusiasm, support, vision, and friendliness made you one of my favorite clients. Your sense of humor, understanding, and personality made you (if I may call you as such) a friend.

That's the point why I'm asking;
I can't, so I have to pay to let it make. I already did so without asking the artist and when I told it I got the hint that there'd be a problem with copyright and such. Now I'm asking if I like a picture that much that I want to enjoy it in a different way ^^

It looks amazing. The scale of the picture alone is breath taking (*snorts* get it? "Scale"? Ha! )
Seriously though i love how much darn detail went into this . To be honest it really makes me want to save up for something really big from you. It would be worth every penny

You already know how great I think this turned out. Looking at it again on FA in even closer detail is <33
Really like the arrangement of scales, and of course that beautiful glow coming through the wing membranes. A frontal view would look real cute with those arms perked up. Pretty picture :)

i can't see enough of your scenic pieces, its incredible how detailled and beautiful you draw! i really can't find the right words for it since its more than fantastic and beyond awesomeness!
