I don't clay much, especially that 89 cent oven bake Walmart clay. I just felt like doing something silly today, so I made this spoopy chessboard. The white clay for whatever reason was being super sticky, and ended up being scarier than the resulting product. On the white side the pawns that look like fucking dots candy are supposed to be ghosts, then skeletons, those weird orb spirit things, and crosses because the power of christ compels you (my phone tried to autocorrect christ to Christmas, whut.) The king is a either vampire or blatantly dead guy and the queen is an angel. On the black side the pawns are spiders that actually came out pretty cute, and then crows, bats, and black cats. The king is a plague doctor and the queen is a witch. The best part about this whole thing was in my opinion that accidental little curly root at the corner which inspired the spoopy theme since I originally just wanted a tiny chessboard (it's 4x4 inches if you were wondering), but I managed to accidentally break that little curly root off while taking this picture so go me. I am sorry that the contrast is just awful in this pic, my photography class didn't teach about making things look good with out having a dslr.
