Talk about money-saving deals: The ultimate free offer from IHOP (apart from the one on "National Pancake Day") came to me last year, when residents of the building I work in (as a janitor) discarded Val-Pak envelopes with coupons inside. Oh, none of the coupons were for IHOP, but the envelope had a promotional deal with the eatery (in conjunction with the release of "Horton Hears a Who!"). Anyone who brings in said envelope to a participating IHOP would get a free Kid's Meal, OR (if no kids accompany you) a free 'short stack'... and I'd managed to collect eight envelopes! So, I had free pancakes (at different IHOPs) on several separate occasions.
