Yeah, even considering the gallery non-canon, Misty's not a prude for not wanting to use her house as a sex toy shop. And it's not like her parents are distant from her; far from it, so the concern isn't unwarranted. Granted, her mother seems to be something of a horny cougar, but nobody with any sort of dignity wants to be caught by their PARENTS when they're playing with or handling sex toys.

Even that concern aside, I have to say Misty's "friends" don't seem to have all that much respect for her wishes. Maybe it's just the fate of the straight man/straight woman of the group to always be the one portrayed as in the wrong, while they're wilder, more reckless and less responsible friends are always seen as the ones being fun and living to the fullest. Even so, it can really stand out sometimes how much people like Whitney, Maggie, Raven and ZZ don't have any problem using whatever tactics they need to in order to twist Misty's arm: trickery, peer pressure, guilt, etc.

Oh yeah, and Maggie should probably think twice about setting Whitney as a goal post for sales. I'd lay odds that Whitney gets a lot of 'em through "product demonstrations."

IF my parents showed up at something like that with my friends, ...I'd probably kill myself.

Personally, I'd have asked for a cut of the profits in return for holding it at my home.

Well, actually, if it were held at someone's home, it would be the person hosting the party, but in this case, not quite. I'll explain this later. :D

Fair enough...still, I'd at least want something in return for hosting a party like that, but I suppose the benefits of doing so would be covered later.

If my mom showed up to a toy party at my house it would be because I invited her. Most of these companies don't allow you to show toys at mixed gender parties. (My cousin is a consultant) and the bulk of the product seems to be skin and body care products. (Shave creams, lotions, and massage creams)
