I tried to design something, and here's how far I got.
I'm just wondering, if I'll refine a bit the lines, and add some colors, this would be good enough for an adoptable action? I've never tried anything like that before, so I don't know if there's any important requirement, like it should be colored or something. Yes, this is a serious question, I'm a total newbie in this topic. I would appreciate some advice if there's any.

Yes, it would! A lot of people do like a ref with back/front pose and also maybe some headshots/other details
Ex some people can get characters with tattoos etc, but with no clear view from ex arm, back or wherever it now is placed it can be pretty hard for the next person to draw the adopt x)

I don't think it needs to be symmetrical really when you draw the character as it looks from different vies/angles, as long as the people can tell it's the same character on the views etc it should be all right x)
The one you did here is good for example, it's pretty nice having different poses on the front/back view, same with the hands, feet and face, think people would pay good for it

Pretty new here myself but I love this design so far. I'm a complete sucker for reptilian men with big strong jaws. I know some people sell designs as adopt's so it could sell. But adding colours and refining would probably generate more interest like the more common adopt sales you see.
Having the back and detailed close ups are a huge bonus to an adopt.

This would definitely make for an awesome character auction!! O: You could also try out a "pick your own palette" type where auction winners can pick out the colours, but if it's your first one might be safe to just design that stuff yourself. b: Otherwise this is already looking super cool!!
