Nuffie showed me this just the other day and I wanted to say big thankies for it, Agent. It turned out wonderful! =D
I always enjoy playful and fun concepts and Nuffie was always so generous with me lil Dile there to join into such happy happenings here and there. Since the time that Shiny got that magical paintbrush from him and befriended its inhabitants (the lil Swoopin' Stus) it's always a given that now and then he'd just have a ball with some colorful splishsplash along with his dudes who don't mind things to get shiny and messy. =3
I always found you are really great with the gradient transitions in your sketch works and it shows here once more. The rubbery material shines through really well here and all the dynamic in the poses and the expressions look amazing! It gives me a smile to see how much fun me lil Dile has there. ^_^
I also told Nuffie already but this reminds me quite some of the newest Nintendo franchise "Splatoon", you know, like how the Inkling characters dive into a puddle of ink move around and splash out of there hideout to surprise the opposing team members in a splatfest. I could imagine that lil Shiny would also find it fun to play a round of paintball the Splatoon style if he'd ever get to join into a match. X3
So like said, a really sweet artwork and I will ask right away. If you possibly have a high res scan that is yet bigger than what Nuffie send me I'd be happy to receive it for my art folder. Besides that, I would feel happy to at some point use your character in a commission at some point if you may allow it. I had an idea before but never could get a slot from the certain artist I had in focus.
