Some very lucky fire trucks get to stay with their original FD, and get to help teach people about the way things used to be. These lucky trucks are often well cared for and kept in pristine condition, much like this 1947 Willeys Jeep, that lives inside of the airport terminal in Sprinfield MO.

This 1947 Willeys Jeep, fire unit EZ-1 was the first fire rescue vehicle used by the Springfield MO municipal airport. It carried 100 gallons of foam water premix on board with a single 1 1/2" attack line. EZ-1 was used into the mid 1960's and it is the only original piece of equipment that the airport still posses
