Very cute! What other drawings did you have in your animation application?

Thank you! I've yet to upload most of the art anywhere (curse my laziness) but i had to prepare two different portfolios (one for each school i applied to)

the quick rundown is that i included several life drawings, still lifes, hand drawings, and layout drawings; a four panel storyboard; a character rotation, expression sheet, and action poses (featuring the character above); as well as a bunch of personal works

the portfolios were very thoroughly structured

Thank you for the info! The reason I'm asking about the animation portfolio is because I'm trying to build up my own portfolio to submit to future internships/jobs. Perhaps I'll make some characters and draw them doing expressive/action-y things? I dunno.
I would love to see the other works when you get around to uploading them!

And I see! That makes sense. In my case, I was preparing a portfolio for school, so it's a little different. I'm sure some of the stuff folks are looking for is the same, though.
