Here is my latest piece of "Zootopia" fan art - which I had submitted to the "Zootopians' wall (in "Facebook"), as part of a semi-regular 'Drawing Challenge'. This time, the 'theme' to the latest challenge is Father's Day...
Needless to say, I'll probably expect to see obligatory sketches of Stu Hopps (Judy's father), or Nick Wilde's old man (who was originally supposed to have appeared in the 'first draft' version of the CGI feature, before changes were made). So, to break up the monotony, I'd decided to render a comic strip gag involving one of the other 'fathers' seen in the film...
Ever since she had saved Fru Fru the shrew (from the 'giant donut', lobbed by Duke Weaselton), she and Judy are the best of friends, and Hopps and her foxy friend Wilde are 'in dutch' with Fru Fru's father - the crime kingpin shrew of Tundratown - Mr. Big...
So, for my fan art piece, Wilde and Hopps are helping Fru Fru shop for an appropriate Father's Day present. Unfortunately, Nick is a little bit leery of having some of Mr. Big's 'boys' (half-a-dozen kodiak bears) assist in the shopping. Even though he's back in the crime boss's graces again, he worries that one of the polar bear is still holding a grudge against him (for the infamous 'skunk butt rug' incident). So, Nick stays close to Judy (who he still calls 'Carrots', every now and then) and Fru Fru, in the hope that the trio finds the perfect Father's Day present, much sooner than later!

Yeah, I almost forgot that Fru Fru was expecting a daughter (by the end of the movie), thus making Mr. Big a potential grandfather. So, I suppose that an item with 'grandpa' on it would make an alternate Father's Day present... but ix-nay on the 'oxy-fay'... efinitely-day!
