At a condemned building in the center of town, Artison didn't have to wait long for the marble fox to arrive. In spite of D's age and somewhat impulsive actions, Artison only saw that as good things along side his loyalty and perseverance.
"Such a pleasure you would accompany me." Artison greeted him and held out a firm hand
"Sure, So what kind is this?" D asked "I'd kinda would like to know what I'm getting into."
"Then we shall be on similar levels." Artison smiled "I only know this, tiz safe to enter."
"Well, it's something." D said and looked around "Where's the portal, or how we-?" Just to the left was an oval-shaped portal with colors and light being pulled into the center where a red desert could be seen. "Oh."
"Come now," Artison cheered "Discoveries await!" And he leaped through it.
D spent no hesitation and followed shortly, and found himself in the middle of that red desert with dark purple skies and plateau that stood over the skyscrapers back at his home town.
"Check yourself over," Artison said as he looked at his prosthetic leg, which has had no change "Ensure of any change there's been any changes to your being on entrance." He looked at his arms and chest and saw his bracers no longer had screens or buttons. "I think I may be good."
D looked over himself and found his clothes were fine, but there was something in his back pocket. It was a like a light saber, but given where they were he preferred not to activate it. "I think so too." After words he looked over the landscape "Not much really around here... You sure this is a good spot."
"Well, tiz all we know from entrance to these lands." Artison said as he took a few steps in a direction "There may be a sign of civilization around there."
"Yeah, that's true." D said "But unless it's Los Vegas, you don't usually have a city in a desert."
Artison just smiled "Well, that's in your dimension, things may be different here. We just need to know where to look." At the end of his sentence a large explosion took their attention. From behind a plateau was a flash of fire that was followed by smoke, and for a moment the two just looked until Artison spoke again "Well, we now know" And he started walking toward the source of the smokes.
