"Eventually the Universe will wear you down. You'll try to keep this naïve sense of optimism, pretend that all of it happens for a reason and that those you perceive as the 'good guys' will somehow win out; that they have to in order to keep the world ticking. Thing is, everyone believes they're the hero. Everyone thinks they are the one fighting for what is right and the rest are just... terrible people simply out for blood. They believe this with such fervor that they cannot comprehend when their guts are spilled during a meaningless skirmish or when they are bleeding out from an avoidable bar fight. They don't seem to understand that the Universe doesn't inherently make anyone a hero or a villain; it just makes people. And people are capable of some truly horrifying things."
