
Anyone spot a theme here? Another gift art for my niece-in-law. And how clumsy does that sound...
Anyways, with this picture, I knew from the start that there was no way I would be able to achieve the level of detail I wanted. My pencils just aren't sharp enough. So I did my best, but aimed this to be another picture that looked best viewed from afar. That's when all the shades meld into highlights and shadows. I'm pretty pleased with this, although as ever, I should have done better. I used various photos as reference, but especially with the shading, I sort of went with my gut instinct a lot. I'm glad I'm starting to develop something like that...
