I might be offering them as commissions so....hold on to your hats, because I was going to offer general sci-fi portraits for shows like Stargate, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, Star Wars [even though this is technically science fantasy], TRON: Legacy, and etc.

That's a DS9/Voyager uniform, not TNG. And what do you mean the other uniforms are a bit more obscure? The original series uniforms are easily identifiable (though rank is only indicated via the sleeve). The only other uniform style is the movie-era uniforms, which aren't so much obscure as complicated to get right (there's the fancy-ass insignia pin; divisional colours for the turtleneck shirt, shoulder strap, sleeve band, and inside material on the jacket flap, and the stripe on the pants; and then there's the extra greebles depending on certain specifics (flag ranks get a golden soutache on their jackets, aides de camp get a gold aiguillette on the left shoulder…); oh and non-commissioned personnel have a completely different uniform).

TNG had these uniforms at the end of the end of the series.

But generally wanted something easy to recognize without a ton of textures, something that would say, oh I know where that is from.
