The King of Iron Fist Tournament said as 'Tekken' in Japanese. A martial arts competition hosted by the titanic defense industry conglomerate known as the Mishima Zaibatsu, founded by Jinpachi Mishima. Jinpachi's son, Heihachi, fell in love with a woman named Kazumi, who bitterly harbored an evil power. As a result of his love, was consumed by his dark desires for power and domination. Heihachi beat his father into submission, with a combination of his family's traditional Mishima-Style Karate, and the ruthlessness he had gained from his lover's power.
Jinpachi was then imprisoned beneath and ancient temple owned by the Mishima Zaibatsu, called Honmaru. Heihachi and his lover concieved a child, christened Kazuya. Kazumi then foresaw that Heihachi's lust for power would unleash chaos and death on the world, and set forth to kill him. In self defense, Heihachi reluctantly took the life of the woman he loved. Afterwards, he then attempted to imbue his own hunger for domination into his son Kazuya, through ruthless training and abuse. As a final test, he threw a five year old Kazuya from a high cliff perched over a ravine. Kazuya's choices were climbing back up, or disownment and death.
Through the betrayal of his own father and his son, Heihachi cursed his family to be granted the power he desired, along with his merciless demeanor, so much of which that the Mishima's could only fight each other for a challenge, and so brother turns on brother, and father turns on son. In a futile attempt to give his powers the test he desires, Heihachi holds the King of Iron Fist Tournament, staking a hefty cash prize and control of the Mishima Zaibatsu to lure in the most powerful pugilists, fighters, and warriors around the world. Control has fallen into the hands of Kazuya, a resurrected Jinpachi, and even Kazuya's illegitamate son, Jin Kazama. And after every three tournaments, a special one is held, in which warriors team up and tag in and out of the ring. And this track is devoted to such a tournament. THE TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT!!!
