After Long Path accepts Queen Carpacia's proposal to sire a new princess for her hive, he still takes an active interest in the upbringing of his changeling offspring, and little Fidelitas loves the attention when daddy visits. Path indulges his little Fifi, but fortunately he has a spell to protect him from her inadvertently draining his love.
