Emotional Description: Being in the shadow of his older brother, Arcangelo, for practically all of his life, Battista holds a small grudge against him and their father, Lorenzo. When Delfina came into the world, he settled things with his father, who began to see him as a useful member of the family, much to his brother’s dismay. Battista became Arcangelo’s punching bag and front line—the mon who went into a fight for one of his schemes and usually came out with a few broken bones. The Spinda took this abuse for his family’s sake, thinking to himself that if he didn’t do this, Arcangelo would turn on the family. And they couldn’t afford that, not yet.

Battista generally doesn’t fight unless provoked with reason, and is actually very friendly on first impressions. He may come off as a jerk sometimes, but that is usually when he has something on his mind. He is loyal to his family—even his elitist older brother, but especially to Cecilia and Delfina, both Spindas, perhaps as a protective big brother in case Arcangelo ever comes into power.
