At ICON 2007 I met Denise Crosby and got her to sign my Star Trek Season 1 DVDs. I initially just asked for a photo, and she asked if I'd like to be in it. Seizing the rare opportunity for such a photo, I eagerly agreed!

Picard, unquestionably. The character and the actor are both far superior.
Star Trek and Star Wars is an unfair question. Star Trek is a long running television franchise with 35 years of history, a good amount of them on the air.
Star Wars is a six feature film series, with a tacky cartoon show and tons of video games and books that are NOT written by Lucas, and the new trilogy was pretty to look at, but storywise, godawful.
There is no comparison.
I do love the original trilogy, but really, it's an unfair question, apples & oranges.

personally i perfer picard myself aswell but the sheer ability to deliver a better television show and movies is abit biased in his favor
i wasnt really asking a comparison on the two as there creation and stats i was just abit curious to your preference
as for the two long standing rivals i dont consider starwars a six feature series and comparing the two baced on that fact alone my preferences would side toward the older lucas films they are and ever will be a icon for scifi movies to come
[and its good to see the face i was snuggling with at fc this year your mannerizims are superbly well portrayed i hope i can be so well intouch when im in character]

Well, I prefer both Picard and Patrick Stewart. All around a cut above.
Ah. I prefer Star Trek, especially since the new trilogy really was just a glorified fan script. But my point is that you can't say one is 'better than the other' because they're not the same type of thing. They are the same genre, but they are not to be put side by side and considered similar merely because they both have star in the name. They're two entirely different things.
You must've met Lauren, then. :) *giggles* From what I'm told, I am VERY good at presenting a female 'vibe' or whatever you want to call it. ;)

Wait... "I-CON"??! Is it still at SUNY Stony Brook?
I helped out one year ('91 I think?) with communications / ham radio guys! Turns out while I was "Net Control" (coordinating / logging communications) the guest of honour arrived and called me on one of the guys' radios; Nichelle Nichols!
...ironically enough the Push-To-Talk part she was great at.... but the release-to-listen part of the radio was lost on her.
GREAT photo op! And great that She was willing to go that extra step for you
SEE? NOW you get it, right? (*Chuckle*)

Hailing frequencies open, captain? *giggle*
I would love to meet Nichelle, she seems like a fabulous person. :)
I'm very pleased I got a nice shot like this, it just happened to be my luck she was at the autograph table, I'm always shy to ask when they're on the big long line, but this table was off to the side :)

Yeah, I wish she had stayed longer. FYI, if you watch the episode "Symbiosis", featuing the now deceased Merritt Buttrick, when the door closes you can see Tasha wave goodbye as the cargo bay door shuts. Little secret, it was her last episode. Though they had already filmed "Skin Of Evil" the week prior, she asked to stay for one more episode, so they indulged her.
I don't have too many RL pics of me I'm super happy with, but this one was nice. :)
