Sometimes, my ideas for a 'fat furry' image come from the most unlikely of sources. I'd learned about a rare phenomenon that had occurred this past week (on June 18, 2016), and will not happen again until most of us reach triple digits in our respective ages...
I'm referring to a "Strawberry Moon", which (according to some Native American tribes) is the full moon at the start of the Summer Solstice in June - right at the height of 'strawberry-picking season' - when the moon itself comes up on the Eastern horizon, with a slight reddish-pink tint (making it look like a strawberry itself). The last time a "Strawberry Moon" took place at the beginning of Summer was in 1948.
Inspired by said phenomenon, I came up with a gag involving 'Oliver D. Fox', whose penchant for strawberry milkshakes moves on to the next level...
Assuming that many folks still believe in the old myth that the moon is made of 'green cheese', the voluminous vulpine thinks otherwise - upon seeing the "Strawberry Moon" - and thinks that the lunar surface is covered with his favorite beverage... Never mind how 'Oliver' managed to get a straw long enough to reach the moon, just as long as he enjoys this refreshing repast - of which he is already halfway in consuming!
