So, Story Time 1: I won one of 
RockytheProcy 's Free Sketches, and quickly blurted out I wanted a Chesnaught done in Tank style. Halfway through I recalled I HAD a Chesnaught in my stable of characters and this sketch was quickly becoming perfect for him, so I later asked for a cleanup of the sketch.
Story Time 2: This, is Aegis. Aegis had always been two things. One, a Shiny pokemon, and Two, just over DOUBLE the Normal size for his kind, even way back as a Chespin. It made him a bit of a klutz, and tired of paying for the stuff the poor guy broke, his trainer sold him. He was basically used as a sideshow attraction, where his job was solely to be Big and Shiny, and occasionally lift heavy things. He wasn't well trained or taught or cared for, really just fed and kept in line. It came to a point where he HATED his body and believed he'd have a better life if he'd been more normal.
Cue my self-insert pokemon trainer character. He saw the situation and wanted to get the Chesnaught out, but these "Showmen" weren't about to pass up their most unique oddity. So our trainer hatched a plan. Very simple, but it worked. He got the owner of the sideshow good and pickled, bragged a little bit, and manipulated the drunken fool into betting Aegis on a match before soundly trouncing him and holding him to his word.
Aegis was a re-naming (wherein he himself was one of the filters prospective names passed through), and over time getting to know the "Pepin Clan" as they called themselves, found a love for his special features that others SHOULD have been instilling in him. Now he wants to live up to his namesake by being the clan's shield, and actively pursues methods to get larger and stronger, to see if he can.
And apparently, yes, he can! Though already amazingly large and strong under his halfhearted past "trainers", with efforts he's bloomed even further, now 12 feet tall (To the top of his head, not his traps), and nearing a ton and a half of brawn, he's never been happier, and never hesitates to desire pressing on until he hits proof he can go no further!
