...so rather than do something sensible like sleep, I take these sketches here and color them. All of them. Even though they kind of suck. (And I mean REALLY suck, so mind not giving crits for these? Save it for a pic I put some actual effort to, these are just MEH. Metaldow alone makes me sad.)
Once again, I blame Hyadain for the musical inspiration...and my own laziness to make 'em Cuedows, my critters.
They're each even based off actual types of Cuedows I have made in the past, which I will now share with you because everyone loves reading artist comments:
Bubble Man = Random Aderé, the general term for aquatic (or certain amphibian) types of Cuedows. I doubt this one's any kind in particular, though.
Heat Man = Solarback. Twin tails (fused in this case to better imitate the lighter lid design) are used to cover solar panel-like scales on the back during the night, opening back up during the day. Tail best worked to imitate the lid design, so.....
Quick Man = Arrowdow, sort of. The tail is right, everything else isn't. I may steal the V-shape on the head for a new sub-species of Arrowdow though. Maybe.
Metal Man = Probably some bizarre variant of a Quilltail, which...is self-explanatory as to what that one's about. May well use that buzz saw-tail design again for another critter.
Clash/Crash Man = This is actually a hybrid of two Cuedows, a Bladeleg (duh) and a never-named idea which included the extra large Unaa (that being the big...fingernail-shield thing on all their noses) which, of course, works for Clash Man here. May also use this design again, albeit with a new color scheme.
Flash Man = Another hybrid. Mugendows (due for a name change) are Cuedows with one extra-large and usually oddly-shaped claw, usually the right one. The jewel-esque parts are new and may well be used again on a future design if I can think of a decent purpose for 'em.
Air Man = Apefoot. General term for Cuedows with...well, primate-like paw designs (and in this one's case, a gorilla-like body). May tweak and turn it into a real Cuedow species.
Wood Man = Osodow. Bearlike Cuedow, though the tail is made longer to look more like a tree branch. Yup.
Right...think I'll go get that sleep now. By the way, no, I will probably not do other Robot Master Cuedows based on the other games. Maybe.
