Either way, it was angry people at the immigrants, or very misinformed people who have been lied to. So either way the UK (which I live in, Northern Ireland) is well and truely fucked, we were fine in the EU, sure there are people who say before we join we were ok and could look after ourselves but times have changed and the UK is still rather independant but has become a little more dependant on the EU, so we would be still better of being WITH then rather than saying fuck the EU...........ok rant over.

The population of London alone is greater than the population of the entire of Norway, Eastern Europeans are undercutting British workers left right & centre & the EU were demanding that we take an extortionate amount of Syrian "refugees" even after seeing what they have done in France, Belgium & Germany.

Immigration is a massively important issue to Brits & simply using words like Xenophobe & racist to try & shut down an opposing argument no longer works. The Left have trivialised that word so fucking much that people simply don't care if they're branded as such anymore.

A few months ago, I was offered a job in Berlin. Now that we're out of the EU, I would need a visa, and bunch of other documents in order to take them up on their offer. When I think about the generation of british kids below me who will struggle to get their first job (as I did), it makes me genuinely sad that there are now 27 other countries that are essentially closed off to them.

That's why I voted to stay. Because being a European adult in the 21st century is hard enough already. :I

You do realize that EU is probably the less totalitarian organization in existence, since the vast majority of decisions taken, that are then turned into laws, needs the agreement of ALL 28 states. Yes, they require unanimity on a great many things before proposals become laws and regulations. Just take a look at the EU website and look for their rules and the treaties governing how it must work.

Let me make a comparison and irony. Spain WANTS the EU to censor our president, wants them to stick their noses in our bussiness because of the corruption, and... well, a growing dictatorship. What do they do with us (note we have €, we are far more "subjugated" to them)?

And I AGREE WITH YOU. For me the most reasonable reason to vote Leave is the false believing of UK's loosing their own sovereign because of the EU... but I'm angry at people voting Leave for stupid reasons and OF COURSE... with the politicians whose promises were a lie.

Oh don't get me wrong. There were a few people who had a genuine reason to leave the EU. UK fishermen, for example, were getting screwed by the EU fishing regulations. If we'd have stayed in, that might have been something we could have fixed.

Unfortunately, even if your vote was made for a completely rational reason, this decision is now going to be used as a cudgel for all the backwards, jingoistic xenophobes to justify their hatred of everything non-British.

This is clear, to me, from all I've experienced AND learned. There are always a small amount of lunatics wanted to break away from the majority who are less fanatical than they.
Already in the USA where the southern states re-legalized Segregation, and also managed to apply a a law that state law always overrides federal law. Soon, one of these states, probably Texas, things will go to the worst situation and war ensues.
