Ta-da!

I made a cake for my husband. He has a long work day today and I need to cheer him up. We happen to own a jolteon-cookie cutter, because we are crazy people.

The cake itself is called a “Sachertorte”. It was named 1832 in Vienna at the court of prince “Metternich” who spontaneously invited some high-ranking guest. He ordered a dessert for special occasions and supposedly said
something like: “Don`t embarrass me!”

But the main cook called in sick and the only backer around was 16 year old “Franz Sacher” an apprentice in his second year. The guest loved his creation and the cake became a famous.

It`s covered in dark chocolate und filled with apricot-jam. ^^
